Motorola will develop new mobile phones For Apple iPhone 4

Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha has stated that Motorola will offer three or four handsets this year that support video conferencing with a forward facing camera. However, Jha said, "I have never been a great believer in the demand for video conferencing."

Smartphones including the iPhone are currently limited to 1GHz but rumour has it that the Motorola offering will double the CPU speed, run the Android operating system and include "everything that is technologically possible in a smartphone today" according to Conceivably Tech.

Jha also told Reuters that sales of the Droid smartphone are very robust despite the similarly named HTC Droid Incredible handset. Jha said, "Sales are going extremely well. If I could build more I'd sell more." Jha wasn't specific on which component is in short supply and is hurting Motorola's ability to put enough Droid handsets on the market.

An anonymous source from Motorola also suggested that the forthcoming app phone would feature 720p HD video, a 5-megapixel plus camera, a Tegra GPU with hardware Flash acceleration and a gyroscope.
